Inkjet Media PreparationPrinter manufacturers recommend that you allow your print to dry for a minimum of 24 hours before lamination. In areas with high humidity dry times can be longer.
Laminator CompatibilityIt's recommended that your laminator be equipped with a release liner take-up reel. All LexJet laminates are provided on 3" standard cores.
Laminator SettingsApply 80-100 psi and use 2-3 feet per minute for dwell time depending upon application. Apply 90° to 100° F (38° C) to help the adhesive flow, which will produce a more consistent adhesion to the print, The top and bottom web tension should be minimal.
Adhesive Cure TimeAfter applying the laminate, allow curing for a minimum of 2 hours before cutting or trimming. Maximum bond strength is reached in 24 hours.
Expected Exterior LifeThe polyester film and adhesive have good resistance to discoloration caused by exterior exposure. LexJet Gloss Polyester Laminate (2 Mil) could protect the under-laying graphics for up to 2 years from fading caused by typical exterior exposure conditions.

Service Temp. Range-20° F to 257° F (-29° to 125° C ) THIS IS NOT A LAMINATOR SETTING.

TipIt is not recommended that you pre-coat any paper-faced products, such as Gator Board or Foam Core, with an adhesive that has a plastic carrier. The absorptive nature of paper products can cause the board to contract and expand with temperature and humidity fluctuations causing the release liner to tunnel. The slip aid, which is often found on PVC materials, should be removed with a suitable detergent. All substrates should be tested for your specific application prior to final job production.

If you are experiencing curl when applying this backer to LexJet and the tension on your pull rollers is minimal; reduce the heat, reduce the pressure and reduce the speed of your take-up reel.
